Citric Acid
Citric acid is found in moisturizers, exfoliating moisturizers, anti-aging cream, acne creams, and peels. It is a type of alpha hydroxy acid that could help speed skin cell turnover and lead to peeling. In addition, it could also help attract water into the skin. This results in improved radiance and smoothness of the skin. Citric acid is a key ingredient in SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense.
Lipohydroxy Acid (LHA)

It stimulates the production of proteoglycan, a water absorbing molecule in the skin, thereby restoring water and nutrients to skin. This leads to improved plumpness, elasticity, and firmness of the skin.
